Online Dairy Training

NEW: Milk Quality Training – Online & On-farm
$395 per person

Online training for full time roles

Whether it’s full-time or for seasonal workloads, like calving, use our online courses to set new team members up for success.

All our courses are designed to give new staff members the best possible start before they step onto the farm. In less than a week a new team member can understand the tasks they will be required to do in each role. As a farmer you can save time getting them up to speed on the basics and focusing on how you do things operationally on farm.

For farmers with Filipino workers you can use the Tagalog closed captions in the dairy assistant course.

Milk Quality Training – Online & On-farm

Enhance your team’s skills and improve productivity and retention for farmers with our Milk quality training – Online & On-farm

It’s designed for new employees and as a refresher for the existing team, delivered in just weeks for $395 plus GST per person. Minimum booking three people.

Participants can complete the online module in three hours before attending the in-shed course, which is conducted on-site by a certified Agricademy trainer.

Before the on-farm training, our trainer will connect with you to discuss specific areas of focus. Agricademy will also provide weekly updates to management regarding online course completion ahead of the training day.

Upon finishing both the online and on-farm courses, each employee will receive a certificate of completion. These certificates can be downloaded and stored in your farm management system. The online course will remain accessible afterward for ongoing reference by each employee.

To make this work efficiently you’ll need a minimum of three people.

Clarence Stolte is a farmer in Wairarapa and explains why he likes Get Milking video training

Why choose Agricademy training? In this short video we chat with Clarence Stolte in Carterton, Wairarapa about his thoughts on our training model. Clarence is a 50:50 sharemilker, a farm owner and supervises a few other farms. Clarence has been dairy farming for 17 years and loves the mix of hands on, outdoors, technical and technology skills we get to use every day in dairy farming – and would love to see more enthusiastic, new entrants into the dairy industry.

“There is a huge benefit in being able to offer early training that doesn’t require lots of reading. I struggle to read pages of information, but these short videos explain more than a thousand words!”

On Farm follow up

Completing video training is the first step to building skills in dairy. If you want to put those skills into practice with on farm follow up, talk with one of our partners around the country. On farm training is priced flexibly in two hour blocks (see, still no classrooms or weeks away from work!) and arranged at a time to suit you and the boss.
