Discover Dairy & Wool: Schools Programme

Agricademy schools programme helps students learn about work in the wool and dairy industries, and the tasks and roles involved.

What we offer

Introductory videos for years 9 to 10

If you have a student keen to know what happens in a milking or shearing shed, we’ve put together two introductory sets of online taster videos called Discover Dairy or Working with Wool, exploring animal health and wellbeing, along with some of the tasks that take place in a dairy farm or a shearing shed.

Entry level training for roles, for years 12 to 13

If you know a year 12/13 student keen to pursue an entry level role on farm, who needs the skills and knowledge to get a head start, our online role based skills training as a Relief Milker or Shed Hand provide the step-by-step ‘how and the why’ of each role in a practical hands-on way.

We also include our work wise videos in our role based learning – covering topics such as learning all about nutrition, and understanding your payslip.

What’s included?

In all our courses students get access to a suite of videos, pdfs and quizzes.

Videos can be watched at any time and from anywhere or, as a teacher, you may decide to make the content a part of classroom learning.

Prices listed are for one set of videos per person. Each student must have an individual email address for enrolment. Prices in $NZ and inclusive of GST. Teachers; if you sign up a student, we’ll give you access to watch the videos too!
