Gold medal shearers and wool handlers explain and show the best techniques and work practices combined with nutritional and movement requirements to keep you operating at your best throughout your career. Completion of each online course will result in a certificate of completion from WOMO.

Wool handling courses
Good wool handlers are in high demand. These are the three courses depending on what type of sheep you think you will be working with.
Working with Merino
This is our highest value fleece for harvesting. Make sure you have the technical skills to succeed with merino.
WOMO will be running courses in preparation for main shear between October and November 2024. To be eligible for training you must have completed a wool handling and/or shearing online course.
You will automatically be contacted about registration for New Zealand training once you have completed any of the above shearing and wool handling courses.
WOMOlife Presenters
Our presenters are industry experts with heaps of experience. We work closely with them and other advisors to script and produce our videos so that the ‘how’ and ‘why’ is explained easily.
Each video includes an overview of the topic, an explanation, a demonstration and a recap. All in plain English
