Course Description
Full wool (also referred to as long wool) is 12 months of wool growth.
In WOMOlife’s wool handling course for full wool, learn:
- How to handle full wool
- How to remove the oddments (frib, belly, pieces) from shorn wool
- How to check and skirt the fleece
- How to separate the wool for length, colour and contamination
- How to set up board duties (raised, closed, blending stack, managing wool flow)
- How to pick up and throw the fleece
- How to skirt the fleece and wool rolling
- The importance of working in a team
