Course Description
Shearing Merino requires a high level of skill. Consistently high standards of shearing and clip preparation are extremely important as Merino wool is sold for a premium price.
In this course you’ll learn about:
- The 11 sections of the shearing pattern and step by step methods and techniques for each individual blow
- Bottom side and top side blows – when to use and methods
- How and why to apply good footwork, rythm and timing
- How to use the left/free hand on the sheep’s skin when shearing
- Shearing whole process
- Releasing the sheep
