Sign up for practical machine operation courses for tractors, machinery, motorbikes and chainsaws through Ag Drive.

Learn new skills and safe riding / operating techniques to solidify knowledge and the understanding of safe operations. Courses also cover up-to-date information on health and safety legislation and keeping people safe.

Practical Learning

We offer courses that begin with a short online assessment, which must be completed before you do a full day’s practical training.  Train at our fully equipped Waikato based training facility, or we can come to you (conditions and minimum group sizes apply).

We offer:

Training courses for:

• Light Utility Vehicle (LUV) safe operation
• 2-wheel motorbike safe operation
• Quad bike safe operation
• Chainsaw safe operation
• Tractor safe operation

All of the courses listed are made up of two parts:

1. An short online assessment consisting of two to three online modules. Each module has course material followed by quiz questions based around safe operation and maintenance.
2. A full day’s practical with our experienced trainers covering all you’ve learnt in the online assessment

How do I sign up?

1. select your course from the options below, sign up and pay to enrol
2. complete the online safety operation course for your selected course, then
3. book and attend your one day practical course in the Waikato (other regions coming soon)

Once you’re enrolled, read through the online safety operations content then answer the questions at the end of each part. If you get any questions wrong you can try again. Working through each step off the online safety course and answering the quizzes well will set you up to get the most out of the practical course!

Each online course also has a pdf you can download for reference, giving a solid grounding in what you need to know. Keep a note of any questions you’re struggling with and bring them to your trainer when you do the practical course.

Once the online part of the course is completed, you’ll receive an email with instructions and a unique code to book your practical day course.

Your certificate

After your practical course is completed you’ll receive the results and a certificate of completion to add to your C.V. and to show to potential employers.
